Looks like the Lowell race will probably be my last Cross race of the season.....I've been fading fast lately.
The bike is up on the trainer for now and I'll just be doing some lite riding for a while.
The Lowell race was ok...placed 12th overall....also ended up getting 15th place the week before in Plymouth.
It's been a great year and I'm looking forward to do a little more mountain bike racing in the spring. We'll see what's going on.
Have a great Holiday Season...

Just hangin' out and relaxin' for tomorrows race in Lowell....I missed this race last year so I'm pretty excited to do it this year.
Last weekend I did the Plymouth North Cross race on Sunday...(I was too sick to do Sat. race). I had a great start and just wanted to hang with the lead group. This was a very fast and Long course.....I just didn't have the power and started to fade after the 3rd or 4th lap. I think I was able to grab a top 10 finish....not really sure as they haven't posted the results online yet and I just went home after my race.

Hopefully tomorrow in Lowell will be better.....I think I've gotten rid of this cold. Should be a pretty muddy race as it has been raining for the last 2 days. Love the Mud!!

Had a rough day in Gloucester this weekend.....
I ended up starting in the nineth row.....the start was brutal....and the rest of the race was about the same.
I was able to fight my way up to a 38th Place finish out of 101 starters...I have had some better days.

Well let's see here.... I ended up missing the Suckerbrook Cross race a couple of weeks ago because I had to work a little later than expected....drove out only to miss the start. Sucked!!

This past weekend though I made up for it with a 3rd Place finish out in Bedford MA at the Quad Cross race. Again in the Pouring Rain...I think I race pretty well in the rain....Let's pray for rain next week at the Gloucester Gran Prix.

This year I will only be able to Race on Sunday due to work....I took a couple days off the bike and hope to be all ready to kick ass next week in Gloucester.

After the Gran Prix I will be just focusing on the Crazy Halloween season in Salem and spending most of my time at the shop.
November will be here soon enough and I will be ready to hit a few more cross races. Hopefully head up to NH for the Porky Gulch Stage race November 7th & 8th.

I should be off in Auburn NH this sunday for the Suckerbrook Cross......I usually do pretty well on this course so we'll see what happens. Later!!

Headed over to Lynn Woods last night to do the Dualathlon.....ran 2.5 mile trail run, 6 mile mountain bike, 2.5 mile trail run. Felt pretty good....finished in 1:04. I think that was like 4th place??? Just for fun.....not much of a runner....Just getting ready for the triathlon any way I can these days.
Next Mountain Bike race this weekend in Exeter NH. Going to be a hot one!!

Looks like August should be a busy month for me.....Next Mountain Race is the Fort Rock Revenge in Exeter on the Aug 3rd....after that I will go the Witchcity Triathlon on Aug 10th. Haven't done this for about three years.....but I think I'll give it another try.
The Witches Cup Crit in Salem is Aug 13th.....Not much of a road racer, but this race was fun last year.
Should be a good month... Later!!

Hey All......sorry for the lack of posts. Been really busy with work, but I think we may have that all figured out now.
Hit the third race on the EFTA NECS Race this summer, the Clifford Park Assault...placed fourth! Not bad for my first race of the season...18 miles in 2:02...
Big ups to Dennis for being my water boy for the second year in a row....damn I was thirsty!!!! And thanks to Pat, Nikki <3, and Logan for coming out to support. I love you all. You too Franky!!

I'm in ogunquit right now with Nikki on a well deserved vacation...taking some leisurely rides with her (shes's slow and hates hills!), but I can't wait to hit the road when I get back to town...

Thanks to Tom at Michelin Footwear...the Michelin dry2 tires rocked!!! Fast as hell! Thanks so much, you guys rock!
Thanks to Dan and everyone else at Salem Cycle...the bike ran great as always....and can you order me a Felt Hurley beach cruiser? Thanks!

Oh, and Frank....everyone from the Front Porch says hi...?????

Monday, April 21, 2008

Hello everyone....spring is here and training has picked up a bit more with the nice weather.
Thanks to all the sponsors that have decided to stick with me again this year....should be a fun year. I think this year I will be doing only about 6 mountain bike races and then focus more on the cross season. We'll see.....right now I would like to do the first 6 races in the EFTA New England Championship Series and then finish that up with the Hampshire 100k mountain bike race in August....leaving some time to relax and prep for Cross.
Been a little busy at work this season so far......but I hope to step the training up a bit in the coming weeks....will keep you posted. Thanks for your support
